**Job Summary and Responsibilities**
As our **Post Procedure Unit Nurse** at St. Joseph's Hospital & Medical Center, you will assume a vital leadership role in our Post Procedure Unit, focusing on assessing patient/family health problems and resources, and developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive nursing care plans. This direct care RN position provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patient populations, serving diverse age groups from young adult to geriatric.
Every day you will provide comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care, meticulously organizing and prioritizing patient activities to balance their needs and comfort. You will act as a patient advocate through holistic practices. Daily tasks include utilizing the SBAR communication tool for effective physician notification, performing bedside nurse-to-nurse reports, and actively involving patients and families in their care plans to ensure desired outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to recognize your scope of practice by seeking multidisciplinary collaboration and utilizing appropriate resources. Your capacity to assume accountability for decisions, partner with others to effect change, and effectively delegate tasks will be essential in this dynamic Perioperative nursing environment.
+ Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner
+ Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient
+ Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient
+ Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior, and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating issues
+ Recognizes limits of scope of practice, seeks multidisciplinary collaboration, utilizes appropriate resources, and follows chain of command

+ Graduate of an accredited school of nursing upon hire
+ AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State upon hire
+ American Heart Association BLS certification upon hire
+ American Heart Association ACLS certification upon hire
**Preferred**
+ BSN
+ One year recent acute care experience
+ One year PICC placement experience
