Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer II – CNC Programming

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team supporting Repair & Overhaul (R&O) operations. In this role, you will apply your mechanical and manufacturing expertise to develop more efficient machining processes, improve tooling and programming, and drive cost reduction initiatives across our aftermarket business. You will collaborate with engineers, machinists, and operators to create and refine CNC programs, troubleshoot issues, and validate machining processes.

A key focus of this position is the analysis of cost data and implementation of strategies to improve profitability, reduce turnaround time, and strengthen our competitive position.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**

• Provide engineering support to R&O factory operations.

• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot CNC and manual machining programs for mills, lathes, grinders, and CMMs.

• Support robotic programming initiatives.

• Analyze data to identify opportunities to reduce R&O cost, turnaround time, and backlog.

• Execute cost reduction projects and contribute to Honeywell’s aftermarket value proposition.

• Support in house and supplier repair development efforts, including project planning and implementation.

• Drive completion of action plans to improve repair cost, turnaround time, and performance.

• Lead value engineering activities focused on continuous improvement.

• Travel up to 10% as needed domestically and/or internationally.

**YOU MUST HAVE:**

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

• 1 or more years of engineering experience

**U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENT:**

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylum or refugee status in the U.S, or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

**WE VALUE:**

• Ability to read, modify, and write CNC programs

• Experience reviewing 3D CAD design blueprints

• Strong understanding of machining sequences and operations

• Familiarity with mills, lathes, and grinders

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Strong professional integrity, positive attitude, and high ethical standards

• Demonstrated leadership and change management capability

• Experience in repair & overhaul operations

• Ability to prioritize in a fast paced, complex environment

• Six Sigma Green Belt certification

• Proficiency with Excel, Access, and Microsoft Office tools
