**Job Description**
General Role
Provide technical support in the development and production of military soft goods such as upholstery, cushions and parachutes.
Specific Responsibilities
+ Assist in the design and development of aircraft and military vehicle seating upholstery and cushions
+ Train Production department leads in the operation of these industrial sewing machines: Binding machine, Serger, Walking Foot, Double Needle, Class 7 and Zig Zag
+ Establish time standards
+ Develop flat patterns and templates for soft goods
+ Work with quality to resolve production issues and ensure customer satisfaction
+ Able to read and interpret engineering drawings as they pertain to sewing
+ Develop processes for cutting and bonding non-rigid polyurethane foams
+ Program fabric cutters and sewing machines
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
Required Skills
+ 10 years sewing experience
+ Military standards for sewing materials
+ Manufacturing using contact adhesives
+ Production line setup and line balancing for workflow processing
+ Laser cutting fabrics
+ CNC fabric cutters
+ Nesting software for soft goods
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
Preferred Skills
+ Associates Degree
+ Demonstrated ability in Microsoft Excel to perform entry-level calculations
+ Demonstrated ability in AutoCAD to perform develop patterns and templates
+ Experience with LEAN Manufacturing Principles
+ Commitment to developing self and supporting the development of others
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $69089 - $110543
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
