Industrial Mechanic (Electric Motors & Gearboxes) – Direct Hire | $22–30/hr | 1st Shift | Perrysburg, OH

The Advance Group is hiring an experienced Industrial Mechanic in Perrysburg, OH for a reputable motor and gearbox repair shop.

Pay:

$22–30/hour based on experience
Direct hire (start with the company, not contract)

Schedule:

Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Optional weekend overtime available

Industrial Mechanic Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and diagnose electric motors, motor generators, pumps, and gearboxes
Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble motors and components
Identify parts needed and complete repair documentation for ordering
Balance rotors and armatures to required specifications
Perform repair work on customer-submitted equipment
Use hand and power tools (impact wrenches, torches, etc.)
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Work alongside a team to meet repair timelines

Industrial Mechanic Requirements:

3–5 years of experience repairing electric motors, gearboxes, pumps, or motor generators
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Experience in a motor or gearbox repair shop required
Ability to identify parts and complete documentation accurately
Comfortable using hand and power tools daily
High attention to detail and quality workmanship
Reliable attendance and ability to work both independently and on a team
