Machine Operator – $17/hr | 1st Shift | Perrysburg, OH

First shift Machine Operator opening with work/life balance! The Advance Group is partnering with a production facility in Perrysburg, OH that is looking for a dependable Machine Operator to join their team.

This position involves operating a power shear to cut sheet metal to specified dimensions, measuring materials, inspecting finished cuts, and following production and safety procedures.

Responsibilities for Machine Operator:

Operate a power shear to cut sheet metal to specified dimensions
Set up and adjust the shear for different production requirements
Measure and verify materials for accuracy
Inspect finished cuts to ensure they meet quality standards
Follow production and safety procedures
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Lift 50 lbs frequently and perform regular bending, squatting, and physical labor
Stand for the entire shift

Compensation for Machine Operator:

Starting pay is $17/hr.

Hours for Machine Operator:

Monday–Thursday: 6:30am–5pm
Friday overtime as needed: 6:30am–3pm

Requirements for Machine Operator:

Previous shear operator or metal fabrication experience preferred
Manufacturing or production experience is a plus
Ability to read measurements and use basic measuring tools
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Comfortable working with metal and operating industrial equipment
Ability to follow safety procedures and production instructions
Candidates with the right mechanical aptitude may be considered for training if they are comfortable with the work
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs consistently
Comfortable with repetitive bending, squatting, physical labor, and standing for the entire shift
Experience performing physical, manual labor
Comfortable working in a dirty, non-climate-controlled environment
STB required
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
