As a **Security Officer** in **Orlando, FL** , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

**Pay Rate: $23.24 / Hour**

**Job Schedule:**

**Day** **Time**

Tue10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

**How This Role Works:**

+ **Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”):** You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

+ **Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:** In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a government location.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with appropriate personnel as needed.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, policy violations, and/or security-related concerns.

+ Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help support controlled access, verify authorization, and report suspicious behavior, damaged property, and/or unsecured areas.

+ Complete routine reports and logs, relay important information during shift activity, and follow Allied Universal standards along with site-specific post orders and procedures.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Possess 2 or more years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.

+ Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.

+ Be 21 or more years of age.

+ A guard card or license is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
