Security Operations - Center Officer

**Allied Universal is seeking a Security Professional for a Dispatch Position in Normal, IL**

Must be able to work weekends and any shift

Must be able to type at least **40 words per minute accurately.**

**Pay Rate: $25.00/Hour as** **D** **ispatcher & $19.00/Hour as Security Officer**

**Available Shifts:**

+ **OPERATOR: Back Up Schedule – Fill-In Position - Will work as a Security Officer when not working as a Dispatcher** **.**

The Backup Operator will work two days per week in the SOC Dispatcher role. When not assigned as a Dispatcher, the operator will fulfill the Security Officer role at the same site (compensated at the Security Officer pay rate.) All Backup Dispatchers will be considered for the next available full-time SOC operator shift at the site.

Allied Universal is hiring a **Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator.** The Security Operations Center (SOC) is the centralized hub which manages the security and safety issues at our client’s facilities. We provide outstanding customer service to all calling parties while being firm following all processes in place to achieve excellent outcomes.

The SOC is staffed twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week. The position monitors all security, communications, and fire/life safety systems and is the liaison between safety and security departments.

**ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Heavy Customer Service Background - we are looking for highly motivated people whoare dedicated to providingoutstanding customer service to ourclient, ouremployees,guestsand visitors.

+ Monitor all security, communications, and fire/life safety systemsviaprovidedmonitoring systems.

+ The ability to efficiently multitask

+ Answer and respond to events and situations received over regular and emergency phones, 2-wayradios, and intercoms.

+ Accurately document routine and unusual events occurring on or near the facilities.

+ Make emergencynotificationsnecessarypursuant topolicies and procedures.

+ The ability tomonitorand/orutilizemultiple software programs at once.

+ Strictly adhere to policies, procedures, standards, etc., asdeterminedby the client.

+ Proactivelymonitorall surveillance cameras and CCTV remote viewer programs. Monitors and responds to all security/life safety system alarms.

+ Answer and respond to events and situations received over regular and emergency phones and intercoms; speak clearly, give direction, and provide guidance to employees and security staff during emergenciesand non-emergency calls.

+ Serve as the liaison between all departments and the security department.

+ Handle (without delay)complaints and unusual/critical event informationas directed by procedures.

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:**

+ Must be 21+ years of age.

+ Mustpossessoneor more of the following:

+ Service in Military Branches / Police

+ Bachelor’s degree

+ 2 years of work experience in public sector dispatch or emergency operations center(PSAP, 911)

+ 2 years of verifiable data entry experience

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment*A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only

**K** **NOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED** **:**

+ Advanced computer skills andproficiency;proficiencywith Google applications.

+ Ability to quickly and efficiently analyze high stress situations todeterminethe proper communication of events & to dispatch the proper teams todeterminethe best course of action to take.

+ Ability to adaptina dynamic work environment whilepossibly workingunder pressure.

+ Ability to prioritize workload based on urgency.

+ Ability to communicate effectively.

+ The ability to remain calm in the face of adversary/elevated stressful situations.

+ Be organized with strong attention to detail.

+ Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills.

+ Flexible workingscheduleto include nights and weekends.

+ Ability to work in a team environment.

+ Ability to type 40+ words per minute accurately
