As a **Armed** **Security Officer Part Time Response** in **Brooklyn, NY** , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

**Pay Rate: $42.24 / Hour**

**Job Schedule:**

**Day** **Time**

Sat08:45 AM - 02:15 PM

**How This Role Works:**

+ **Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”):** You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

+ **Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:** In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a financial institution location.

+ Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and activities according to post orders and reporting guidelines.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the perimeter, parking areas, public access points, and other restricted areas, while maintaining awareness of unusual activity.

+ Maintain an armed presence in accordance with site-specific policies, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal guidelines, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.

+ Monitor entry and exit activity, help to deter unauthorized access, and support cash handling, opening, closing, and other sensitive operational periods as directed by site procedures.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.

+ Possess an armed guard card and/or license.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ Possess a corrections officer license.

+ Possess a law enforcement officer license.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
