Program Quality Engineer II

As a critical player for the Tactical Air (TACAIR) Product Line, you will be responsible for ensuring BAE Systems builds compliant product to our customers. Requirements flow down and compliance will play a significant part of everyday life. An understanding of development programs will benefit you in this role.

Responsibilities in this role will include Program Quality support for programs in the TACAIR Product Line including F-15 International Programs. This role will provide Quality support of the Program Quality Lead on non-recurring engineering efforts including hardware design efforts and Qualification efforts of new products, changes due to Diminishing Manufacturing Supply, Environmental Stress Screening and Test Program Set development. Additionally, the role will support build processes, First Article Inspection, preliminary material review.

As a member of the TACAIR Program Quality Team you will interface with the customer and the Defense Contracts Management Agency (DCMA) for audits, program inquiries and product acceptance. Attention to detail for hardware and documentation records play a critical part of the product acceptance process. Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and collaborative program team environment is a must!

Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment, and conducts quality assurance tests. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality methodologies and utilize quality tools to help drive continuous improvement.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work at the facility, this role is on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or technical discipline and 2-4 years of experience

+ Ability to read, interpret and understand a drawing, print and specification

+ Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner with multiple customers in different organizations, functions and the US Government

+ Prior Quality, Process, Hardware, Systems, or Software Engineering experience

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

+ Ability to learn BAE Systems software and data management programs

+ Ability to obtain security clearance

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Active secret clearance

+ First Article Inspection (FAI) AS9102 experience

+ Green Belt/ Black Belt certification

+ Hands on experience in a Defense Contracting Environment

+ Exposure to test environment

+ AS9145- Advanced Product Quality Program exposure

+ Experience with manufacturing complex electronic assemblies

+ Experience with customer requirements and flow down into program execution and tasking

+ Presentation of product to customer for acceptance/ "sell off"

+ Preparation of documentation packages for customer review

+ Understanding of or participation in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities

**Pay Information**

Full-Time Salary Range: $79365 - $134921

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
