Security Officer Enhanced Part Time

As a **Security Officer Enhanced Part Time** in **Murrells Inlet, SC** , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
**Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour**

**How This Role Works:**
+ **Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”):** You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
+ **Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:** In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate personnel.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
+ Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with directions, policy questions, and/or escalations while maintaining a professional presence in a healthcare environment.
+ Support staff and guests during medical, weather-related, and/or facility-related events by following post orders and communicating updates through established protocols.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Possess 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
+ Be at least 21 years of age.
+ Customer service experience is preferred.
+ An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
+ Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
