**Minimum qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field, or equivalent practical experience.

+ 15 years of professional experience.

+ Experience managing cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior executive stakeholders without direct authority.

+ Experience building or deploying AI solutions, agents, or tools.

+ Experience leading product, digital, or AI-driven organizational transformations.

+ Experience in technical domains (e.g., engineering, product management).

**Preferred qualifications:**

+ Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Organizational Psychology, or Economics.

+ Demonstrated "builder" mindset with experience establishing new organizational functions from inception.

+ Proficiency in translation of complex data and workplace observations into actionable executive narratives.

+ Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), agentic workflows, and modern software development infrastructures.

+ Ability to execute complex change management across large-scale global technical environments.

**About the job**

As the Director of AI Native Work Labs, you will lead a specialized team tasked with identifying, experimenting, and scaling revolutionary ways of working across Google’s product areas and functions. You will bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI capabilities—including agents and automated workflows—and human workplace experiences.

Moving seamlessly from deep organizational insights to board-level strategic recommendations, you will launch short-cycle experiments to test novel role profiles, early-career pathways for technical talent, and evolving skills architectures. Through deep collaboration with senior product leaders, you will leverage POps infrastructure to operationalize successful pilots, transforming systemic change into tangible, global wins for sizable Googler populations.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $262,000-$365,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. **Responsibilities**

+ Identify leading indicators of AI-native work through ethnographic studies and telemetry, while auditing core workflows to eliminate friction points hindering adoption.

+ Define new skills, identify tech stack gaps, and manage experiment governance using "product feature velocity" to advise leadership on "way of working" strategies.

+ Design and lead controlled Sandboxes to test radical organizational structures and revolutionary workflows, including human-to-agent collaboration models.

+ Lead original research and convene executive forums to shape the industry narrative and position Google as a leader in the future of work.

+ Lead and manage a high-performing team of managers and individual contributors, driving the strategic vision and execution of the AI Native Work Labs.
