**Position Summary**
The Central Planner is responsible for the order to delivery phase of the purchasing process for parts supplied by their assigned suppliers for all production facilities. The Central Planner will be managing the supply chain from start to finish and working the exceptions that come up is a big part of the role. This highly cross-functional role will work closely with sourcing, logistics, plant operations, and third-party logistics providers to ensure consistent and accurate part supply to production build requirements.

+ Two years of purchasing, logistics, or other relevant supply chain experience
+ Knowledge of International Trade Compliance rules and practices
+ Strong, quick decision-making skills
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast paced environment
+ Strong oral and written communication skills, including intercultural communication
+ Must have current PC/software proficiency including Microsoft Office with multiple tasks
+ Organized and strong attention to detail
+ Ability to synthesize large amount of data quickly and stay calm under pressure
+ A 5-year college degree is strongly desired; relevant professional experience will also be considered.

**Position Overview**
+ Multi-Site planning of manufacturing requirements
+ Make quick and accurate decisions on part supply across the network globally and domestically to prioritize and expedite the most needed parts
+ Manage relationship with supplier to ensure performance aligns with business needs
+ Operate with a focus on lean and continuous improvement principles to drive efficiencies in our Supply Chain
+ Analyze Inventory for opportunities to improve turns and identify excess
+ Coordinate the disposition of inactive, excess and obsolete inventory with Operations, Engineering, Sourcing, Finance and Service business partners
+ Manage, escalate and communicate delays, shortages, problems, issues relating to shipments and/or inventory levels of purchased items to Production, Purchasing, and Logistics
+ Partner with Suppliers, Carriers, and logistics as needed to expedite deliveries resulting from inventory variances, rejections, or late deliveries
+ Resolve/Review receiving issues (i.e. Over/short, labeling, keying errors, etc) with Receiving personnel at appropriate manufacturing site and Accounts Payable
+ Maintain system planning records to ensure order frequency, size and timing align with production requirements
+ Work with Supplier on proposed schedule changes and communicate risk or opportunity to business unit
+ Work closely with Purchasing and NPI during new part/Supplier integration and release
+ Provide part recovery plans for expedited parts to production leaders to align supply with operations strategy
+ Work on special projects as identified
+ Act as a subject matter expert and resource for cross-functional teams, providing guidance and support on best practices with cross functions
