We're looking for a self-motivated machinist who can work independently while supporting multiple departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

CNC Operator Responsibilities

As a CNC Operator, you will:

Operate CNC milling and turning machines to manufacture precision-machined components
Set up CNC machines, select tooling, and make program edits to optimize production
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T
Produce custom, stock, and repair components to exact customer specifications
Perform in-process and final quality inspections using precision measuring equipment
Verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gauges, and other inspection tools
Perform routine preventive maintenance on CNC equipment
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality departments to meet production schedules
Assist in mentoring less experienced machinists as needed

Qualifications

To be successful in this CNC machining position, you should have:

High school diploma or GED
Minimum of four (4) years of CNC machining experience
Experience operating both CNC milling and CNC turning equipment
Vocational or technical machining education preferred
Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T
Knowledge of G-Code and M-Code programming
Mazatrol programming experience preferred
Experience using precision measuring instruments, including:
- Calipers
- Micrometers
- Dial indicators
- Gauges
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
Ability to safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
