**Overview**

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking an **Operations Superintendent** to support oil and gas processing operations within a major energy infrastructure organization. This leadership position oversees mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation activities while partnering with operations, maintenance, engineering, construction, and support teams to optimize asset performance, reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.

The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage operational priorities, oversee contractor performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to influence plant performance, develop personnel, and support critical processing assets in a fast-paced operational environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Operations & Maintenance Leadership**

+ Lead mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams supporting processing facility operations.

+ Coordinate daily activities between operations, maintenance, construction, and engineering groups.

+ Establish priorities and allocate resources to maximize operational effectiveness.

+ Support facility reliability, asset integrity, and operational performance objectives.

+ Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for process and maintenance improvements.

+ Maintain awareness of facility operations and associated operational risks.

**Reliability & Continuous Improvement**

+ Support the development and execution of reliability-centered maintenance programs.

+ Implement maintenance strategies designed to improve equipment uptime and reduce operating costs.

+ Utilize maintenance planning and scheduling practices to optimize workforce efficiency.

+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, safety, and operational excellence.

+ Analyze operational challenges and implement effective corrective actions.

**Team Leadership & Personnel Development**

+ Supervise company personnel and manage contractor resources.

+ Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, safety, and operational excellence.

+ Mentor, coach, and develop employees to build technical and leadership capabilities.

+ Support workforce planning, training, and succession development initiatives.

+ Promote collaboration across operational and support functions.

**Safety, Compliance & Environmental Stewardship**

+ Champion safe work practices and ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety requirements.

+ Lead compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, company policies, and operational standards.

+ Maintain high standards of quality, integrity, and environmental responsibility.

+ Support incident prevention, risk mitigation, and operational hazard awareness initiatives.

**Financial & Organizational Management**

+ Manage operational and capital expenditures associated with team activities.

+ Support budget planning and cost-control initiatives.

+ Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align operational priorities with business objectives.

+ Maintain effective communication with vendors, contractors, technical teams, and leadership.

**Required Qualifications**

+ High School Diploma or equivalent required.

+ Engineering Technology degree or equivalent experience preferred.

+ Minimum 10 years of experience supporting operations, maintenance, construction, commissioning, or related oil and gas processing activities.

+ Minimum 4 years of supervisory, project leadership, or team management experience.

+ Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing multidisciplinary teams.

+ Working knowledge of electrical and instrumentation installation, testing, and commissioning.

+ Experience with rotating equipment maintenance programs.

+ Familiarity with maintenance planning and scheduling systems such as SAP or similar CMMS platforms.

+ Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

+ Proven leadership, mentoring, and personnel development skills.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Experience implementing reliability and maintenance programs that improve asset performance and reduce costs.

+ Background supporting natural gas processing, midstream operations, or industrial processing facilities.

+ Experience managing contractor workforces and field service providers.

+ Strong understanding of equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement methodologies.

+ Experience collaborating across operations, engineering, maintenance, HSSE, and construction functions.

**Work Environment**

+ Full-time onsite position supporting processing operations.

+ Monday through Thursday: 9-hour workdays.

+ Friday: 4-hour workday.

+ Participation in an on-call rotation supporting operational needs outside normal business hours.

+ Limited travel requirement of approximately 0-10%.

+ Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
