**Position Type: Part Time**

**Pay Rate: $23.75 / Hour**

**Job Schedule:**

**Day** **Time**

Mon02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Tue02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

**What You'll Do:**

+ Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with campus contacts and/or first responders as needed.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.

+ Monitor access points and verify credentials when required, helping to control entry and/or exit activity in accordance with site instructions and posted protocols.

+ Support security-related investigations by observing, reporting, and recording relevant details, while maintaining a professional presence during daily operations and special events.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.

+ Possess an armed guard card or license.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ CPR certification is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
