**What You'll Do:**

+ Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.

+ Monitor access points and help to verify identification, credentials, and/or permitted entry in accordance with post orders and government location protocols.

+ Carry and maintain authorized duty equipment in accordance with Allied Universal standards and post instructions, and report hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or unusual conditions promptly.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ Be able to ride a bike.

+ Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.

+ Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
