Splunk is seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial and results-focused marketing professional to drive the creation and implementation of innovative and compelling industry-specific programs in support of Splunk’s growth objectives and strategic initiatives within the Manufacturing and Technology industry segments.
The opportunity requires a dynamic and creative mind with a proven history of success crafting and executing an impactful industry marketing strategy. The candidate will be experienced in a wide range of go-to-market activities with demonstrated success building and coordinating B2B marketing and sales enablement.
This position requires hands-on execution. Although this role is an individual contributor, it requires an experienced professional who is able to orchestrate a cross-functional team to package, enable and drive success for Splunk solutions. This professional will bring expertise in marketing to this new buyer to raise awareness for Splunk, to help ensure that these solutions are impactful from a sales standpoint and also relevant for customers and prospects.
This role can be performed from any location within the United States.
**Your Impact**
+ Develop the Marketing strategy for both the Manufacturing and Technology segments as well as manage the integrated cross-functional marketing plan to establish brand, support relationship development and growth with targeted audiences and sales channels
+ Partner with key industry stakeholders across sales and marketing to ensure a cohesive go-to-market approach, and a clear narrative to how Splunk shows up to organizations in the industry, tailored to the unique needs, challenges and trends across internal and external, customer-facing presentations, use cases, case studies and sales enablement content
+ Perform market research to understand the latest trends, technologies, regulatory requirements and market dynamics and to inform strategic POV (Point of View) as critical changes take place in the industry; understand emerging technologies like AI/Agentic AI, IoT, cloud computing and how they impact the industry.
+ Understand key industry influencers, buyers and teams to position the Splunk value and PoV
+ Provide direction on marketing content programs and strategies specific to the Manufacturing industry segments
+ Own and execute the sector’s marketing and collaborate on the thought leadership strategy to extend and amplify across an omnichannel approach (digital, social media, video, podcast, webinar, blogs, association affiliation and trade show sponsorships)
+ Partner across the Marketing organization and with the Industry analyst community to augment brand reach
+ Work with Product Marketing, Solutions Marketing and Industry Advisory to translate the technical capabilities to align to industry benefits and business outcomes
+ Support sales teams by developing specific industry-first sales enablement materials and collateral, including briefs, personas, FAQs, industry sheets and more
+ Identify events or venues that attract targeted buyers and influencers to increase brand awareness or change brand image and potentially drive sales and/or create positive publicity that drives new opportunities
+ Contribute to the creation of thought leadership content, webinar, and webcasts to evangelize our message
+ Manage multiple, complex projects successfully in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ 5+ years of relevant marketing experience in the B2B technology industry experience; Previous roles working in technology marketing and marketing to buyers in Manufacturing are required
+ Ability to use data and analytics to drive decision-making as well as a consistent track record of setting and delivering against measurable marketing metrics
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ A highly professional and collaborative team player with an entrepreneurial mindset who works well under pressure in a high growth environment; ability to work across business lines, presenting to executive leadership and at different levels of management
+ Hands-on ability to build a range of marketing assets (including on-message demo videos, sharp succinct slide pitch decks)
+ Product Marketing and Campaign Marketing experience is an advantage
+ Excellent communication and writing skills with proven ability in storytelling and narrative development

The starting salary range posted for this position is $145,000.00 to $182,800.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation*, equity, or benefits.
Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. The full salary range for certain locations is listed below. For locations not listed below, the recruiter can share more details about compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.

U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Cisco’s policies:
+ 10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees
+ 1 paid day off for employee’s birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco
+ Non-exempt employees** receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees
+ Exempt employees participate in Cisco’s flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations)
+ 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward from one calendar year to the next
+ Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members
+ Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer
For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco’s policies.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
+ .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
+ 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
+ 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and
+ Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

New York City Metro Area:
$165,000.00 - $239,200.00
Non-Metro New York state & Washington state:
$145,000.00 - $210,200.00
* For quota-based sales roles on Cisco’s sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.
** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
