We're seeking a talented Applications Developer II to join our dynamic Engineering Tools team at BAE Systems. As a key player in our PLM development team, you'll have the opportunity to design, develop, and support cutting-edge enterprise systems that manage product data across the entire lifecycle.

**Key Responsibilities**
As an Applications Developer II, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and supporting our enterprise-class applications, including PLM, CAD data management, and Requirements Management. Your responsibilities will include:
+ **Application Development and Enhancement:** Build, enhance, and support applications, creating new capabilities and extending existing ones from our software vendors.
+ **Digital Thread Development:** Enhance our environment to support processes and unite engineering development artifacts, exploring Model-Based Engineering (MBE) capabilities to create a seamless "digital thread."
+ **Customer Support and Engagement:** Provide exceptional support to a diverse population, ensuring our system meets their requirements and delivers value.
+ **Technical Solution Development:** Evaluate user requirements and propose technical solutions to meet their needs.
+ **System Integration:** Integrate systems using various techniques, including REST services, to ensure seamless communication and data exchange.
+ **Application Maintenance and Upgrades:** Upgrade applications to maintain supportability, compliance, and take advantage of the latest software developments.
+ **Release Management:** Install new releases, exploring vendor enhancements, and analyzing/planning upgrades to ensure smooth implementation.
+ **Infrastructure Analysis:** Analyze infrastructure components and services underpinning our application environment, including Windows Server with IIS and RHEL with TomEE.
+ **Compliance and Documentation:** Prepare documentation and identify system components to ensure applications comply with NIST and CMMC requirements.
+ **Agile Development:** Participate in Agile development methodologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
To be considered for this role, you must have:
+ A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience in engineering or software development)
+ At least 3 years of experience in a related field
+ Strong programming skills and experience with application testing and debugging
+ Ability to navigate and work with server operating systems, such as RHEL and Windows Server, to troubleshoot application processes, scripting, and log investigations
+ Excellent communication skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**
We prefer candidates with:
+ A bachelor's degree
+ Experience with PLM and requirements management applications, including implementation and software development
+ Familiarity with PTC Windchill, RV&S, ThingWorx, or other PLM systems
+ Ability to assess business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
+ Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and SQL, as well as experience with Unix, source code management (Git, CI/CD pipelines), secure code evaluation, application debugging, and software testing methodologies.
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $79365 - $134921
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
