Machine Operator – Paid Training | $19-22/hr | Maumee, OH
Looking to grow your skills in manufacturing? Get hands-on training to become forklift and overhead crane certified while working with a growing alloy facility in Maumee, OH. This is a great opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working with tools, machines, and measurements.
The Advance Group is currently hiring Machine Operators for a clean, organized production environment with long-term career potential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move stainless steel sheets
• Operate machines including CNC, Laser, Plasma Cutters, Water Jet, Saws, and Deburring equipment
• Measure metal parts using tape measures, calipers, and micrometers
• Use hand tools and power tools to grind and finish parts
• Read and interpret work orders and diagrams
• Lift and maneuver steel parts up to 70 lbs
• Complete detailed paperwork and production documentation
Requirements:
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools or manual machines
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math (fractions to decimals)
• Strong attention to detail and safety mindset
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for full shifts and lift up to 70 lbs
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and background screen
Preferred Qualifications:
• Forklift experience
• Overhead crane experience
Schedule:
• Training on 1st shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (first few month)
• After training, move to:
• 2nd shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• 3rd shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Pay:
• $19-22/hour
• $1/hour shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shift (once hired in)
