BAE Systems is seeking a dynamic Program Engineering Manager (PEM) to serve as the Technical Lead for a key strategic program. This high-visibility leadership role sits at the intersection of cutting-edge engineering and strategic execution. You will serve as the primary bridge between U.S. Government stakeholders and our multi-disciplinary engineering teams, driving the successful fielding of Precision Guided Munitions (PGMs) and support equipment for critical "Fast to Fleet" Navy applications.

As the PEM, you will own the technical trajectory of the program. Your role is not just to manage, but to inspire technical rigor, safety, and performance across the entire program lifecycle.

**Key Responsibilities**

+ Interpret complex customer requirements and translate them into clear program scopes, budgets, and schedules for Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads.

+ Serve as the primary technical point of contact for U.S. Government customers, BAE Systems senior leadership, and Program Management.

+ Provide overarching leadership for the program, ensuring the highest standards of quality, security, and technical rigor are maintained.

+ Develop and execute comprehensive program plans, guiding stakeholders and technical teams through critical decision-making processes to achieve mission goals.

+ Lead the successful technical execution of program milestone reviews, contract deliverables, and system demonstration testsensuring all products are delivered on time and exceed customer expectations.

+ Provide strategic direction and mentorship to PGM IPT leads, fostering an environment of inter-group cooperation and proactive problem-solving.

+ Deliver high-impact presentations to executive management and customers regarding technical status, cost, schedule, and contractual milestones.

**Physical Requirements & Environment**

This role requires a regular presence in our manufacturing and fabrication environments. To ensure the success of our programs, the incumbent must be able to safely navigate production areas, which may include climbing, kneeling, stooping, and working in confined spaces. Adherence to all company safety policies and the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ A Bachelor s Degree in Engineering (or closely related field) is required, with 10 years of applicable experience.

+ A proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams in a complex environment.

+ The ability to balance technical requirements with budgetary and schedule constraints.

+ Experience interfacing with government stakeholders and senior corporate leadership.

+ Comfort working in a hybrid environment that blends office-based strategy with hands-on production.

+ Experience with development of complex weapon systems including two years managing or developing one or more related weapon systems technologies.

+ Demonstrated ability to drive technical decisions using sound understanding of engineering principles.

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Experience leading guided munitions or missiles related development is desired, with five years of leading technical staff.

+ Experience working with the Navy, Air & Missile Defense, Naval Shipboard Sensors, or Naval Ship Integration.

+ Current Secret Clearance.

**Pay Information**

Full-Time Salary Range: $132962 - $226035

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
