**Job Description:**
+ Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
+ Scrubs, gowns, and gloves for surgical procedures.
+ Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedures, displaying knowledge of procedure and patient positioning.
+ Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before the incision is closed.
+ Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
+ Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care which addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety age appropriate needs of the patient populations served within the department. [Required]
+ Interpersonal skills Required
+ Completion of validation skills Required
+ Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up Required
+ Knowledge of sterilization techniques Required
**Education:**
+ High School Grad or Equiv Required
**Field of Study:**
+ Graduate of Surgical Technology Program
**Work Experience:**
+ 1+ prior or experience Preferred
**Licenses and Certifications:**
+ Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required
+ Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Preferred
