Registered Nurse ER Mid Shift

**Positions details:**

+ **Location:** St. Joseph’s Hospital North - 4211 Van Dyke Road, Lutz, FL

+ **Status:** Full Time

+ **Shift:** 2:45 AM – 3:15 PM

+ Every other weekend

+ **On Call:** No

+ Always in person

**Requirements:**

+ **RN (Registered Nurse) License**

+ **Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing**

+ **1 year registered nurse ER experience**

+ **BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association**

+ **ACLS certification with the American Heart Association**

+ **PALS certification with the American Heart Association**

**The Registered Nurse – responsibilities and skills:**

+ **Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards**

+ **Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team**

+ **Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others**

+ **Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment**

+ **Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.**

+ **Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition**

+ **Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients**

+ **High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient**

+ **Professional accountability and development**
