**What You'll Do:**

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, visitors, and/or first responders as needed.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.

+ Monitor access points and observe people and property within the location, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns according to site protocols.

+ Support healthcare staff and visitors by providing directions, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and documenting security-related incidents and/or daily activities.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.

+ Meet hospital vaccination requirements.

+ Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes exposure to the morgue.

+ Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting when required.

+ Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
