**Specialty Pharmacist position details:**

+ **Location:** Largo, FL

+ **Status:** Full time, exempt

+ **Shift:** 8:00AM - 5:00PM

+ **Weekend Work:** None

+ **On Call:** No

**Specialty Pharmacist Responsibilities:**

+ The Specialty Pharmacist would be expected to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients with complex, chronic or rare conditions requiring specialty medications. The role includes clinical review, patient counseling, adherence monitoring, coordination with prescribers and ensuring safe and effective medication use. The pharmacist ensures compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards while supporting positive clinical and financial outcomes.

+ The Specialty Pharmacist should have above average knowledge of Specialty regulatory compliance, insurance coordination, patient management and patient education.

**Duties may include -**

+ Compliance and documentation, quality assurance, financial assistance, education and training and clinical expertise

+ Ensuring compliance URAC and ACHC accreditation and with federal and state pharmacy regulations.

+ Providing patient education and counseling for specialty medications.

+ Supporting clinical decision-making and pharmacoeconomic efforts.

+ Work closely with a team of technicians and pharmacists to ensure the proper dispensing of medications to our patients.

**Certifications and Licensure:**

+ **Required:** Pharmacist - State of FL

**Requirements**

+ **Required:** Bachelor's Degree; PharmD preferred

Preferred -

Prior experience in specialty or clinical pharmacy

Knowledge of specialty pharmacy accreditation requirements (URAC and ACHC)

Familiarity with specialty therapeutic areas (e.g. Oncology, neurology, rheumatology and gastroenterology)
