Quality Analyst/Engineer-Senior is responsible to ensure software quality through testing software / software platforms for specific business needs including: enhancements, maintenance, and defect fixes. Job Essentials

1. Mentors and coaches associate and staff level employees on all job essentials.

2. Creates and maintains test plans and individual test cases using approved standards, processes, and tools for common and complex projects. Evaluates level of risk in determining the scope and coverage of the individual test plan(s).

3. Executes test cases, accurately documents defects using approved standards, processes and tools for common and complex projects.

4. Collaborates in requirements development and/or review.

5. Reports results and recommends to key business stakeholders / groups on the quality of the product, software development lifecycle processes and the risk of promoting for production use for common and complex projects.

6. Participates in the creation and management of project plans. Consistently meets agreed upon deadlines or escalates issues, concerns and barriers to key project leaders. Assists in the prioritization of tasks/assignments.

7. Acquires and maintains an in-depth understanding of the technical and functional architecture, security and compliance requirements of assigned systems and integration.

8. Investigates and assists in the resolution of common and complex issues, incidents, and problems. Collaboratively works with peers, internal and external stakeholders, and vendors.

9. With minimal oversight, develops training and knowledge based materials for use by peers and other IS team members.

10. Creates and maintains complex database queries.

11. Creates and maintains automation scripts for complex projects.

12. Participates in the creation of test harnesses, automation and performance testing frameworks.

13. Independently develops and implements communication plans to all stakeholder groups (internal and external).

14. Development and Implementation of automated testing solutions in DevOps CICD pipelines across multiple enterprise projects.

15. Assist the development team in providing adequate test coverage on projects and with continuous integration process.

16. Collect and analyze test metrics, summarize test data, and make recommendations based upon findings

17. Collaborate with engineering to mature our CI/CD processes.

18. Identify and implement the best programmatic solutions for testing applications on a distributed system

19. Architect and design frameworks from scratch, and suggest architectural changes to existing frameworks

20. Perform testing in parallel to the development activity

21. Meet with developers for short hand-off demonstrations

22. Experience working in an agile environment.

23. Ability to work in a team environment with strong negotiation, interpersonal, collaborative, trust-building, and conflict-resolution skills and ability to adapt to constructive criticism.

24. Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.

25. Passionate about solving business problems in innovative and creative ways.

26. Experience with SQA testing processes, including functional, negative, regression, integration and acceptance testing.

27. Provide guidance on best practices when developing automation code including documentation, maintainability, and data-driven development

28. Train and coach other team members on developing automated tests using the established automation framework

29. Work on independent projects related to automating our workflows in a CI/CD environment. Support QA Specialists in day to day testing.

30. Influence and communicate effectively with non-technical audiences including senior product and business management.

31. Lead end-to-end testing initiatives throughout the entire SDLC from test planning, test design, test execution, and test reporting. This includes performance testing, stress testing, front end, back end testing, automation testing, includes functional, regression, UAT, black box, white box, etc..

32. Define test strategy, conduct requirements analysis for testability, identify scope, conduct and communicate risk and mitigation planning.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an information technology, engineering, or computer science. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.

Six years of experience working in the information technology QA field.

Preferred Qualifications

Certified as a CSTE or CSQA

Demonstrated understanding of the concepts of healthcare or healthcare insurance. Understands all types of information used in a healthcare or healthcare insurance environment and how the data is produced, consumed, and transformed.

Experience in creation and maintenance of complex database queries.

Experience in two or more programming languages.

Experience consistently delivering an extraordinary customer experience when interacting with peers, end-users, and others.

Strong written and oral communication skills with spoken English in a technical or healthcare/healthcare insurance environment.

Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Strong customer service orientation.

Experience in creation and maintenance of complex database queries.

Experience writing unit and integration tests.

- and -

Experience interacting directly with APIs and web services.

- and -

Expertise with tools/frameworks: Selenium, Jira, Jenkins.

Experience with Test/Behavioral/Acceptance Driven Development (TDD/BDD/ATDD)

- and -

Experience in web application testing, mobile and windows platforms, etc.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$48.27 - $76.00
