As a **Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Gatehouse** in **King William, VA** , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

**Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour**

**Job Schedule:**

**Day** **Time**

Fri08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

**How This Role Works:**

+ **Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”):** You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

+ **Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:** In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.

+ Monitor access control points by checking credentials, authorizing entry and exit, and documenting visitor, contractor, and delivery activity according to site protocols.

+ Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command when needed.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, production areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.

+ Help to deter unauthorized access by observing site activity, reporting unusual behavior and/or policy violations, and communicating clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Access control and badge experience is preferred.

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Loss prevention experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
