The Collect Transportation Planner is responsible for consolidation of collect shippable orders, collect load planning process, and communication throughout the service network while also adhering to customer routing requirements, carrier selection and optimization of outbound trailer cube when possible. Daily decisions and considerations related to COF (Cost of Failure) practices and the impact to the Distribution Centers within the Service Network is required..

Position Detail – Responsibilities

**·** **Creating and managing outbound shipments for collect customers in SAP**

**·** **Plan orders to meet customer's loading requirements and service metrics related to the shipment and delivery of goods (including but not limited to OTIF) while maximizing cube and creating internal loading efficiencies for the service centers. Adherence to DCs shipping schedule and capabilities is a must.**

**·** **Manage parts issues as they relate to outbound loads.** **Maintain 99% service levels.**

**·** **Input information via internet, manual forms and other means to obtain routing or carrier assignment for customer loads for collect customers.**

**·** **Utilize the "Max Load" or other programs to increase trailer utilization for outbound collect shipments or upon request from customer, sales or other internal departments.**

**·** **Communicate any customer special requirements to the Distribution Center shipping floor.**

**·** **Dispatching functions for collect carriers to ensure all parties are in line with pickups scheduled, Utilization of Ryder dock scheduler for enhanced visibility.**

**·** **Coordination of special customer "events" related to Holiday, Back to School/Campus with Planning, Customer Service and the Distribution floor.**

**·** **Communicate any new customer requirements to increase overall Customer Service or reduce COF buckets.**

**·** **Review new or updated routing guides as needed.**

**·** **Cost savings and productivity initiatives.**

**·** **Troubleshoot and help resolve any PKMS errors for shipments created**

**·** **Daily communication with carriers on late or missed pickups. Proactive internal communication on carrier and/or collect customer issues regarding transportation**

**·** **Daily monitoring of past due/backlog orders: proactive communication on issues**

**·** **Provide freight quotes using Ryder tool upon request**

**·** **Create delivery notes in a timely manner ensuring enough lead time to hit customer on time metrics (OTIF)**

**·** **Utilize split tool for all deliveries that are over cube (NA). Identify and troubleshoot issues in split tool by working with IT and developers.**

**·** **Communicate any changes to routing guides /new prepaid customer requirements to Ryder.**

**·** **Some site specific freight claims assistance may be required..**

+ Good problem solving skills

+ Irregular hours, as needed

+ Ability to travel 75% to Supply Chain locations across the US and Internationally

+ Experience with SAP, PKMS, and Oracle OTM is preferable
