Corporate Manager, Clinical Data Optimization (FT) 8a-5p - Johnson City, TN

SCOPE OF POSITION
The Corporate Manager, Clinical Data Optimization has responsibility for leading the development and implementation of clinical intelligence solutions across Ballad Health. The Manager will be at the forefront of transforming delivery of clinical care at Ballad Health by leading data-driven decision-making. This position will collaborate closely with diverse internal and external stakeholders to derive insights, develop predictive & prescriptive models, and drive initiatives that improves care delivery, and advances Ballad’s journey towards clinical transformation and being a High Reliability Organization (HRO).

The Corporate Manager, Clinical Data Optimization will:
Engage with appropriate entities across the operational leadership to coordinate change through a data driven and evidence-based approach at a system level.

Lead ongoing workflow analysis and further process improvement initiatives through all clinical aspects of the hospital and ambulatory settings.

Lead and facilitate the change management process to support system level endeavors towards reducing unwarranted clinical variation and waste in healthcare.

Leverage data capabilities to prioritize and determine needs for process changes to improve patient safety and meet regulatory needs.
Partner with the IT team to ensure optimization with hardware, software applications, and interfaces to align with optimizing clinical outcomes.

Collaborate closely with Analytics Center of Excellence in developing predictive and prescriptive clinical analytical tools that will enable clinical transformation.

Collaborate with clinical caregivers to identify system issues that impact clinical delivery of care.

Participate in the evaluation, selection and integration of new and improved data science tools to improve clinical workflows and bolster clinical outcomes.

Remain current with trends in clinical transformation and outcomes management and provides the staff with the resources and environment conducive to learning.
Facilitate change and foster a positive image of clinical transformation.
Demonstrate excellent team building and collaboration skills with team members. Leads by influence.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree in clinical data science, biostatistics, or a healthcare-related field.
Proven experience in managing data science in healthcare or related fields.
Expertise in machine learning, data mining, and statistical analysis.
In-depth knowledge of healthcare data sources, including EHR (preferably Epic) systems.
Experience with healthcare analytics platforms and tools.
Strong understanding of healthcare data and analytics.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
A strong ethical and regulatory compliance orientation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
