**The Opportunity**
The **Manager, Service Supply Chain** will oversee the daily operational execution, material replenishment, and parameter health of our service logistics network. This role is highly execution-focused, ensuring seamless cross-functional coordination between planning, regional operations, warehouse networks, and external partners. In addition to managing critical third-party service supply chain relationships, this position will directly manage a localized execution team, driving professional development, process accountability, and day-to-day operational alignment.

At Nutanix, you’ll join a close-knit planning team of five dedicated planners based in San Jose, working alongside our energetic Service Supply Chain team and a Southern California-based manager. You will report to the Senior Director of Planning, who is committed to nurturing a productive and inclusive work environment. This position offers a fully remote work setup, allowing you to focus effectively on your responsibilities while maintaining a close virtual connection with the team.
**Your Role**
+ **Team Leadership & People Management:** Directly manage, mentor, and develop a team of two direct reports: a **Spares Planner** and a **Staff Service Supply Chain Manager** . Establish performance goals, manage workload distribution, and ensure continuous cross-training to remove single points of failure.
+ **Replenishment & Inventory Management:** Execute and audit weekly automated replenishment cycles, ensuring safety stocks, lead times, and reorder parameters are maintained efficiently to meet service-level agreements.
+ **Critical Partner Management:** Manage and govern day-to-day operational performance, SLAs, and collaboration with three critical Service Supply Chain partners:
+ **RMA & Return Operations Partner:** Oversee end-to-end reverse logistics execution and return cycles.
+ **Network Inventory, Distribution, and Fulfillment Centers Partner:** Manage regional inventory placement, warehousing health, and outbound deployment operations.
+ **Spares Planning Solution & Roadmap Partner:** Coordinate technical and operational planning alignments, system health, and future tool optimization roadmaps.
+ **Procurement Execution:** Manage day-to-day administrative purchase order (PO) lifecycles via procurement systems (Netsuite & Coupa), including routine approvals, vendor expedites, and administrative tracking.
+ **Operational Escalation & Support:** Serve as the primary operational point of contact for daily dispatch and material shortage escalations, partnering with logistics coordinators to resolve time zone coverage constraints.
+ **Cross-Functional Data Collaboration:** Extract, track, and advise on key Spares spend, run-rate, and inventory health data inputs to the Finance team to support monthly reporting and the annual budgeting cycle.
+ **Metric & Performance Tracking:** Maintain and update quarterly supply chain operational metrics, highlighting fulfillment trends, lead-time variances, and supplier/partner performance.
+ **Serviceability Management:** Interlock with Engineering and Product teams to ensure spare requirements are met for NPI programs and service spares requirements are factored into product decisions.
**What You Will Bring**
+ 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, replenishment, service logistics, or inventory management for a technology company
+ 5 + years of demonstrated experience in direct people management and leading professional supply chain personnel is required
+ Strong experience managing complex third-party vendor relationships or 3PL networks is highly preferred
+ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field
+ Demonstrated success identifying root causes and executing corrective actions (RCCA) to optimize network KPIs and protect service levels
+ Proven background driving continuous improvement, delivering innovative projects that visibly elevate overall operational efficiency
+ Accountability for driving cost optimization with a concrete history of reducing logistical/operational spend
+ Experience implementing strategic roadmap planning and successfully consolidating vendor/partner networks
+ Proven success in broadening partner capabilities and expanding vendor ownership/accountability within an outsourced environment
+ Strong proficiency in enterprise ERP/planning platforms (e.g., Baxter/Prophet, SAP, Kinaxis, or equivalent) and procurement software (Coupa). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data tracking. Exceptional operational focus, leadership and team-building capabilities, strategic vendor governance, structural organization, and communication skills to effectively collaborate across diverse corporate functions (Finance, Logistics, Fulfillment, Supply Chain and localized operations).
**Work Arrangement**
Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 128,000 and USD $ 255,600 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
