**Job Description**
Join BAE Systems Compass Call programpart of our Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA) groupas a Senior Software Engineer on the Futures Team. This specialized team is responsible for evaluating, maturing, and advancing the next generation of capabilities, technologies, and processes that shape the future of our electronic warfare solutions.
In this role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, and integrating mission software that disrupts adversary radar and communication networks for both domestic and international applications. Your contributions will directly support the evolution of critical capabilities, strengthening national defense and enhancing the operational edge of U.S. and allied warfighters in contested environments.
You will work with modern C and C# in secure Linux environments, developing real-time mission software and advanced processing frameworks. As part of the Futures Team, you will explore emerging approaches, validate new designs, collaborate across disciplines, and help transition innovative concepts into operational solutions.
What You ll Do:
+ Design, implement, and integrate mission software in C and C# on Linux platforms.
+ Contribute across the full software lifecycle, from requirements definition through system integration and verification.
+ Develop and optimize real-time software frameworks for domestic and international mission needs.
+ Apply Agile and DevSecOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code reviews.
+ Collaborate with Systems and Test engineering teams to address cross-disciplinary technical challenges.
+ Support foreign military sales programs (e.g., Italy) by adapting mission capabilities for international partners.
+ Mentor earlycareer engineers and reinforce engineering best practices.
+ Evaluate and advance new technologies, software approaches, and development processes as part of the Futures Team s charter.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Must be profecient in C
+ Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
+ Bachelor s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
+ 4 years of professional software development experience.
+ Experience developing in Linux environments.
+ Hands-on experience with version control and collaboration tools (Git, Atlassian suite: Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Knowledge of real-time embedded systems, signal processing, SDRs, or RF communications
+ Active Top Secret Clearance
+ CompTIA Security Certification
+ Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
+ Experience with software verification, validation, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins)
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
