**Job Description**

AECOM Technical Services, Inc., is seeking a Bridge Design Project Engineer III in Houston, TX.

**Job responsibilities:**

+ Prepare structural designs, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation structures, including bridges, retaining walls, and drainage structures

+ Provide load rating analysis, rehabilitation concepts, and structure type evaluation analyses

+ Use current engineering design software

+ Coordinate with other design teams and disciplines

+ Perform specific and limited portions of broader assignments under the guidance of an experienced engineer

+ Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures

+ Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests

+ Propose approaches to solve new problems encountered

+ Identify discrepancies in results

+ Provide guidance to entry-level engineers

+ Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision

+ May telecommute

**Qualifications**

+ Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

+ Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:

1. Professional Engineer license;

2. Microstation;

3. LEAP Bridge Concrete, BridgeLink (PGSuper), and Bridge Geometry System;

4. MathCAD;

5. Midas;

6. LPile;

7. spColumn;

8. OpenRoad Designer;

9. Projectwise and Bluebeam;

10. Developing technical reports and documenting client communications;

11. Working with TxDOT Bridge Design Manual, Bridge Design Guide, and Bridge Detailing Guide;

12. Working with Roadway Design Manual, and Geotechnical Design Manual for TxDOT PS&E projects;

13. Working with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications; and

14. Design-build project (Alternative Delivery).

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $130520 to $137825.
