Assembly & Test Tech - Level 4

In this role you will be responsible to produce high quality products and services for our customers. You will assemble and inspect product (gas cloud imaging cameras) to ensure the highest quality product is provided to our customers. You will be responsible for your work area to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the area. You will set up and monitor the production of product in your area and participate in the continuous improvement process at the site to address safety, production, and quality improvements.

Key Responsibilities

+ Assemble products ranging from simple standard sub-assemblies to moderately complex standard systems.

+ Responsible for assembly and wiring using manufacturing methods, engineering drawings and workmanship standards.

+ Audit material and documentation for compliance to specification requirements.

+ Maintain work area for operation and cleanliness

+ Comply with all safety rules.

+ Cross train team members in assembly operations

+ Perform other duties, assignments and special projects as required.

+ Resolve assembly problems, troubleshoot malfunctions and defects of final assembly.

+ Participate in continuous improvement activities.

+ Support the Honeywell Operating System

+ Operate assigned equipment.

+ Record and report production data.

+ Analyze data and production reports

+ Supports supervisor with the day-to-day management of their manufacturing area.

+ Hit targets for safety observations, and SDQIC kaizens

+ Implement cycle time improvement project approved by engineering department

+ Provide leadership and line management to the team, assisting to coordinate team's workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers, monitoring any issues, and ensuring production targets, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and quality standards are met in order to meet the requirements of the customer

YOU MUST HAVE

+ 5.5+ years of assembly experience

WE VALUE

+ Ability to analyze information and concepts

+ 2+ Years’ experience with Linux, IT experience/knowledge

+ knowledge of lean concepts (5S, visual management, kanban, single piece flow, etc.)

+ Leadership experience

+ ABQ Truck or forklift certified

+ Ability to collaborate with others and work independently

+ Ability to identify key details

+ Ability to troubleshoot

+ Ability to communicate information clearly

+ Ability to continually work with hands and deal with small details.

+ Ability to build components/subassemblies with the assistance of microscopes and tweezers

+ Comfortable working with very small delicate parts

+ Significant experience with hand and power tools commonly used in assembly processes

+ Ability to read/understand technical docs such as: schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings

+ Knowledge of standard wiring procedures that includes proper wire routing, stripping, crimping of lugs, torque terminal blocks per specification & proper wire termination.

+ Must demonstrate the ability to analyze and assemble products based on product knowledge and experience.

+ Knowledge of Linux (Enough experience to configure the analyzers and assist with minor troubleshooting)

+ Experience troubleshooting electronics / optical assemblies

+ Ability to lead, drive change, & influence others
