**Job Summary and Responsibilities**
As our Mammography Technologist, you will be vital in early breast cancer detection, performing high-quality mammographic imaging with precision and compassion.
Every day, you will expertly operate equipment, meticulously position patients, ensure comfort, perform quality control, and maintain accurate records. You'll collaborate with radiologists and adhere to safety and regulatory standards for comprehensive breast health.
To be successful in this role, you will possess current mammography certification, exceptional technical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a compassionate demeanor, ensuring accurate diagnostics and positive patient experiences.
+ Produces optimum quality mammographic images meeting all licensing and regulatory standards as directed by the St. Vincent. Breast Center Policy and Procedure Manual.
+ Performs screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with the mammography policy and procedures and to radiologist’s specifications.
+ Performs special mammography procedures in accordance with the mammography policy and procedures and to radiologist’s specifications.
+ Biopsy procedures: Mammatome, ABBI, Wire/needle localization.
+ Performs clerical tasks as required to complete mammography procedures in the absence of the clerk.
+ Completes all paperwork/documentation that pertains to the mammographic procedure that was performed.
**Job Requirements** Required
+ One (1) year experience as a Registered Technologist
+ Medical Radiographer: AR, upon hire and
+ Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, within 12 - months and
+ Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days
