**How you’ll make an impact in this role**

+ **Drive Complete Continuum of Care (Pre & Post-Op):** Seamlessly transition between prepping patients for surgery by validating clinical assessments, managing charts, and easing pre-surgical anxiety, to guiding them through immediate post-anesthesia recovery using evidence-based protocols.

+ **Act as a Critical, Vigilant Communicator:** Monitor and record patient conditions dynamically during the vulnerable post-op window, precisely executing physician orders, managing pain protocols, and serving as a calming, reassuring bridge of communication for families.

+ **Lead Multidisciplinary Care & Smooth Transitions:** Serve as the central hub of the surgical care journey, collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and floor nurses to coordinate seamless interdisciplinary workflows, culminating in comprehensive discharge planning for a safe transition home.

**What minimum requirements you’ll need**

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

+ Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date required.

Education:

+ Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time ofhire.

**What additional preferences we're seeking**

2 years medical surgical experience or 1 yrs PACU or ICU experience
