GDIT is seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Software Engineer Expert** to join our team and contribute to mission-critical projects in a classified environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle of software development, including designing, developing, and maintaining complex systems for waveform message processing, reporting, and performance dashboards.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Develop and maintain software for waveform messaging and reporting systems.

+ Design and build performance and metrics dashboards to visualize system health and key data.

+ Develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming and documentation.

+ Work with classified information and systems in accordance with strict security protocols.

+ Collaborate with a small, focused team of engineers and subject matter experts to translate requirements into technical solutions.

+ Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from initial concept and design to testing and deployment.

+ Contribute to code reviews and maintain high standards of code quality and documentation.

+ Stay current with emerging technologies, particularly in the fields of **waveform transport protocols** and **Agentic AI** .

**Required Skills:**

+ Active Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly clearance.

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (or equivalent experience).

+ 10+ years of professional experience in software development.

+ Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.

+ Proven experience developing and maintaining complex, data-intensive applications.

+ Expertise in **waveform transport protocols.**

+ Experience with **Agentic AI** principles and applications, including the development of intelligent agents and autonomous systems.

+ Familiarity with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL).

+ Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

+ Experience with front-end technologies for dashboard development (e.g., JavaScript, React, Angular).

+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

**Preferred Skills**

+ Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

+ Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices.

+ Experience in the defense or intelligence community.

The likely salary range for this position is $182,750 - $247,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
