Cisco Workspace for Government is a US Government initiative to provide Cisco software products to our most sensitive customers. It has a groundbreaking new approach to providing software products to our customers in an easily consumable platform. Our Cisco Workspace for Government PMO is in search of an exceptional lead Software QA Engineer with a real passion for building extraordinary things and tackling important problems for both Cisco and our customers. * Proficient with Development Operations

* Aware of software development risks, with an appreciation for what is technically feasible

* Able to maintain a high level of coding, testing, and engineering standards

* Able to be flexible and adaptable if changes in priorities occur

* Confident and preemptive in communicating challenges or opportunities

* Travel requirement if there is one

What You'll Do

* Design, Develop, test and deploy high quality software solutions using industry best practices.

* Write clean, maintainable and efficient code across various programming languages and frameworks

* Create and Maintain documentation, including design documentation, diagrams, and comments.

* Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, actively participate in code reviews knowledge sharing, and process improvements.

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant degree with 7+ years of relevant work experience.

* 3+ years of experience with Java

* 3+ years of experience with Golang

* 3+ years of experience with Rails

Preferred qualifications

* Familiarity with databases including both relational and NoSQL databases.

* Security knowledge to ensure that systems are designed with security best practices.

* Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

* Experience with software development tools and version control systems
