Speech Language Pathologist

**Job Summary and Responsibilities**

As our Speech Language Pathologist, you will be a vital clinician, expertly assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders to significantly improve patient quality of life.

Every day, you will be expected to conduct comprehensive evaluations for all referred patients, meticulously implementing individualized treatment plans. You'll contribute clinical expertise to develop/upgrade treatment programs/protocols, and actively shape departmental and organizational goals.

To be successful in this role, you must possess advanced clinical knowledge, exceptional diagnostic/therapeutic skills, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

+ Clinical/Technical Skills

+ Performs evaluations/re-evaluations, discharge summaries progressing patients toward goals and accurately documents results written/electronically on inpatients/outpatients and home environment according to SRDH and speech language pathology practice standards.

+ Performs appropriate treatment which may include, but not limited to proper use of diagnostic, modalities and therapeutic procedures to maximize functional skills toward independence. Uses equipment specific to age and size of patient.

+ Maintains a safe environment considering the patient's unique circumstances and risk factors related to age, physical limitations and mental status.

+ Uses office or other Rehab equipment effectively & efficiently.

+ Critical Thinking/Problem solving.

**Job Requirements**

**Required**

+ Masters, Other- Completed all accredited education requirements to be in possession of a valid license & in good standing with ASHA, enabling them to practice as an Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Nevada

+ Entry level accepted

+ Speech Language Pathologist: Nevada

+ BLS-American Heart Association

+ Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology, within 12 months

**Preferred**

+ Masters, Other

+ Completed post graduate education, or possesses certification or CEU's in acute care, geriatrics, head & neck cancer, voice, swallow & MBS studies, pediatrics, NICU & neurology or any other clinically relevant coursework/seminars.

+ 1 year of hospital based, acute care practice

**Pay Range**

$45.26 - $67.32 /hour
