Summer Production Operator (Hartford City, IN)

This is a temporary position within 3M. This position typically works a full-time schedule throughout a 10–12-week assignment.

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career.

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Summer Production Operator , you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

+ Collaborating with Production Teams to develop and improve products or processes.

+ Assist in machine operations and production using product specifications.

+ Participate in team meetings and provide input on production improvements.

+ Perform tasks assigned by the Supervisor to support productivity objectives.

+ Collaborating with senior machine operators on assigned Machines.

+ Documenting detailed production reporting.

+ Analyzing, interpreting, and communicating experimental results

+ Collaborating with engineers, etc.

+ Work rotating and night shifts.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

+ Currently pursuing or enrolled in a bachelor’s degree with an accredited institution.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

+ Strong technical and analytical skills

+ Effective communication and teamwork skills

+ Completed a minimum of Freshman Year (2 semesters)

+ Manufacturing experience

+ Hands-on experience in the following areas, additive manufacturing, robotics, mechanical design, and/or hard goods

+ Strong problem-solving skills.

The starting rate of pay for this position is $28.56 with wage progression over time. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.

Travel: No domestic or international travel

Relocation Assistance: Not authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
