**Job Description**
The Procurement Analyst Principal who specializes in Electronic Components and cables is responsible for sourcing, procuring, and managing the supply of Electronic Distribution within the Defense Aerospace industry, particularly those that require precision engineering. The role involves working with suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality parts from prototype through ramp to production.
Essential Functions:
+ Responsible for implementation of the sourcing processes and improvement initiatives based on the strategy and tactical plans developed by category management.
+ Develop/maintain supplier base by actively sourcing, identifying and evaluating suppliers and conduct negotiation process in assigned commodity to obtain the maximum benefit for the company.
+ Selecting and monitoring suppliers and ensuring their ability to meet Delivery and quality standards.
+ Work with existing and new suppliers to lower materials cost through value engineering, reverse engineering, new design, alternative substitution, or relaxing of tolerance or standardizing of materials.
+ Perform compliance and price analysis supporting documentation in accordance with departmental procedures.
+ Negotiate Terms and Conditions
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Prepares/reviews proposals, develops evaluation criteria, selects or recommends suppliers, creates electronic purchase orders (ePO) files for review, prepares awards and administers resulting purchase orders. Negotiates additions, deletions, or modifications to purchase orders and resolves invoicing issues.
This role emphasizes supplier engagement, management, development and production ramp-up in addition to negotiating and ensuring compliance to internal and external policies. A successful candidate must be able to be an effective communicator internally and externally, build mutually beneficial relationships, be willing to advance their knowledge of procurement compliance, and proactively adopt best practices and support new initiatives, including Zero Defect initiatives with suppliers.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience
+ Experience in a large, complex multifaceted electronics design & manufacturing environment
+ Candidate can demonstrate ability to read and interoperate drawings.
+ Familiarity with defense aerospace industry & regulations and understanding of the role of procurement in complex industries.
+ Experience leading major procurement efforts in a Department of Defense (DOD) contracting environment.
+ Experience buying across various commodities (electronics, mechanical, PWB s, cables, optics)
+ Demonstrated ability to resolve contractual and performance issues with suppliers.
+ Project / Supplier Management
+ Financial Acumen
+ Knowledge of FAR and DFAR regulations and the nature of flow down requirements.
+ Knowledge of ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulation) and EAR (Export Administration Regulation)
+ Understanding/knowledge of CPSR audits and requirements.
+ Comprehensive understanding of subcontractor solicitations and bid analysis/process.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook).

+ Master's degree and 4 years of related procurement/supply chain management experience.
+ Desire for continuous improvement
+ Familiarity with Oracle purchasing system
+ Professional Supply Chain Certification: C.P.M., C.P.S.M., P.M.P.
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $110617 - $188048
