**Job Summary and Responsibilities**
As our Family Birth Center Nursing Manager, you will help lead and empower our dedicated nursing team so they can deliver exceptional, patient-centered care to mothers, newborns, and their families, ensuring continuous growth and operational excellence throughout the birthing journey.
Every day you will lead and mentor Registered Nurses and support staff within the Family Birth Center, oversee all clinical operations from labor & delivery to postpartum and newborn care, and advocate for the unique needs of our patients and team, driving professional development and achieving unit goals focused on positive birth outcomes and family satisfaction. You will be expected to foster a culture of compassionate care, innovation, and continuous improvement, manage resources effectively, and ensure strict adherence to best practices, safety standards, and regulatory requirements specific to maternal and neonatal health.
To be successful in this role, you must embody accountability and confidence with superior communication skills for all interactions – with patients, families, staff, and medical personnel. You'll skillfully navigate the complexities and sensitivities of the birth experience, ensuring individual performance and overall unit success in creating a supportive and memorable environment.
+ Schedules nursing staff to specific shifts, taking into account past utilization trends. Measures employee performance. Assists in the training of new staff members and the development of existing staff members.
+ Coordinates the activities of the unit during a particular shift and directs, organizes, and assigns work to the nursing staff.
+ Assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care. Institutes emergency procedures as necessary.
+ Provides nursing care to patients on an as needed basis.
**Job Requirements**
**Required**
+ Bachelors Of Science Nursing or equivalent education and experience.
+ Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience and one (1) year of leadership experience.
+ Active Registered Nurse License in the state of California
+ Basic Life Support - CPR from the American Heart Association
+ ACLS from the American Heart Association
+ Neonatal Resuscitation Program

$83.09 - $111.27 /hour
