Minimum qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
+ 3 years of experience in semiconductor and printed circuit board (PCB) fabrication processes.
+ 3 years of experience with electrical test measurements.
+ 3 years of experience organizing and analyzing dataset.
+ 2 years of experience working in a wiring and packaging environment.
Preferred qualifications:
+ Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP).
+ Experience with reliability engineering and failure analysis methods.
+ Experience driving yield improvement efforts, six sigma methods, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE).
+ Experience in working with superconducting materials at cryogenic temperatures.
+ Knowledge of mechanical, PCB, or silicon fabrication principles and the constraints they impose on physical device design.
As a Quantum Integration Hardware Engineer, you will help solve the team's wiring and packaging challenges. You will be responsible for managing the integration of new hardware into test vehicles and ultimately into the latest generation quantum computers. You will design testing procedures and plans and drive experiments and test schedules. You will work directly to perform electrical tests on superconducting wiring and packaging components, validating their function and ensuring they meet our challenging performance specifications.The full potential of quantum computing will be unlocked with a large-scale computer capable of complex, error-corrected computations. Google Quantum AI's mission is to build this computer and unlock solutions to classically intractable problems. Our roadmap is focused on advancing the capabilities of quantum computing and enabling meaningful applications.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. + Give tests, data analysis and yield improvement support to external manufacturers and collaborators.
+ Organize and inventory incoming devices and components.
+ Help develop test structures to assess and improve electrical, mechanical and thermal performance specs.
+ Drive test campaigns, collect and analyze data and troubleshoot systems to feed back to manufacturing.
+ Collaborate with the team to understand the specifications and set test plans and schedules for new wiring and packaging components.
