Data Center Production Operations Engineer

**Required Skills:**

Data Center Production Operations Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Work within Meta’s ticketing system in support of the health of Meta’s server fleet.

2. Serve as first point of contact for break fix technicians.

3. Assist with projects (new capacity as well as retrofits) and repairs throughout the data center.

4. Understand and initial analysis to debug hardware and Linux OS related issues.

5. Identify and help to create documentation for the global data center knowledge base.

6. Assist with process improvements and best practices in data center operations.

7. Document design specifications, installation instructions, and other system-related information.

8. Identify system data, hardware, or software components required to meet user needs.

9. Utilize knowledge of server hardware and the desire to participate in projects at a large-scale data center.

10. Resolve and diagnose server issues at scale, escalate issues and work with remote engineering teams.

11. Work within the rack lifecycle processes with a focus on helping build out and enable cloud scale compute and storage environments.

12. 15% domestic travel required.

13. Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (foreign equivalent accepted) and completion of one graduate-level course, one research project, or one internship involving the following skills:

14. 1. Knowledge of Linux and server hardware repairs

15. 2. Modifying and developing in Python, SQL, and shell scripting, AND

16. 3. Working conceptual knowledge of technologies such as HTTP, DNS, RAID, and DHCP.

17. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (foreign equivalent accepted) and 36 months of experience involving the following skills:

18. Knowledge of Linux and server hardware repairs, modifying and developing in Python, SQL, and shell scripting, and working conceptual knowledge of technologies such as HTTP, DNS, RAID, and DHCP.

$117,104/year to $146,080/year + bonus + equity + benefits
