**MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Data Scientist** in **Fort Meade, MD** , to drive cutting-edge statistical analytics and **cloud-based** data solutions for national security objectives.

In this role, you will collaborate with subject matter experts and customers to guide analytic development from prototype to production, delivering high-value data-driven insights while laying the groundwork for the future integration of **machine learning** into mission operations.

+ Executing and contributing technical expertise across multiple data science and analytic development efforts in a secure cloud environment.

+ Collaborating with customers, intelligence analysts, and Subject Matter Experts to align analytic requirements with mission goals.

+ Prototyping and transitioning data pipelines and advanced analytics into scalable, operational environments.

+ Applying statistical modeling, data analysis, and graph-based approaches to complex datasets, preparing workflows for future machine learning applications.

+ Managing individual analytic tasks and delivering high-quality technical work to meet project objectives.

+ Bachelor’s degree in quantitative or technical field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering, computer science, data science, physics, or related discipline) or 4 additional years of direct relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

+ 7+ years of experience in a Data Scientist, Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or related technical role.

+ 7+ years of experience working with standard data analysis tools, frameworks, or languages (such as Python, R, SQL, or similar).

+ Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining data workflows, pipelines, and analytic prototypes within secure cloud infrastructure.

+ Practical knowledge of advanced statistical modeling and foundational machine learning techniques, with familiarity in containerization and modern Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) to support the team's evolving machine learning roadmap.

+ Frequently communicates with coworkers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
