We are seeking a highly experienced Salesforce Business Systems Project Manager and Developer to lead our team in optimizing business processes and implementing our Salesforce platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, preferably in the aerospace and defense industry, and expertise in Salesforce customization, workflow automation, and data analysis. They will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Salesforce platform to support the company's strategic business development goals, managing pipelines, and related reporting. This role will also involve leading a team to develop and deliver capabilities to support business growth across the Platforms & Services sector, providing administrative, development, and integration support across established and emerging business technologies and product applications, and leveraging technology to collaborate with team members and drive results.

Work Location:

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working remote and working onsite near a major facility (e.g. Falls Church, VA, Sterling Heights, MI, or York, PA). Fully remote work may be considered at the discretion of the business.

Responsibilities:

+ Design and implement Salesforce automation (including workflows, triggers, and processes) to improve efficiency in tracking opportunities, managing accounts, and coordinating cross-sector and cross-business/departmental collaboration.

+ Manage day-to-day operations of Salesforce, including user management, configuration, customization (flows, process builders, reports, dashboards), and system updates.

+ Work closely with Business Development teams across Businesses to optimize Salesforce processes for account management, opportunity tracking, and sales pipeline visibility to support company growth strategies.

+ Set up and train new users, perform user maintenance, system workflow rules, defaults, permission and role hierarchies, along with security and data management.

+ Maintain clean and accurate data by implementing best practices for data governance, cleansing, integration, and deduplication.

+ Ensure data compliance with cloud application, industry regulations (ITAR, DFARS, etc.), and global protocols relating to the European Union.

+ Develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards to provide real-time insights into key metrics, including pipeline health, order forecasting, and business development KPIs.

+ Provide training and ongoing support to Business Areas and Business Development teams on Salesforce best practices, ensuring proper usage and user adoption of the system's full capabilities.

+ Ensure the stability and scalability of Salesforce systems by performing and/or overseeing regular audits and preparing for upgrades.

+ Act as liaison between Inc HQ, Sectors, Business Areas, Business Development personnel, and third-party vendors to manage licenses and implement new Salesforce features or system enhancements.

+ Oversee and support integrations/growth between Salesforce and other business-critical data systems, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.

+ Work in conjunction with stakeholders to maintain, design, architect, develop, and improve business technology capabilities.

+ Manage the implementation and evolution of Salesforce business technology capabilities based on analysis and identification of key business needs, process standardization, and automation opportunities.

+ Lead and manage the implementation and evolution of business process improvement projects, including requirement gathering/discovery, design, development, testing, and delivery.

+ Collaborate with business area cross-functional stakeholders to identify, develop, and deploy new business processes and ensure delivery/implementation of essential technology capabilities.

+ Provide recommendations for add-ons, features, functionality, and process improvements to existing platform(s) based on requirements and/or user experience enhancement.

+ Transform internal customer and key business requirements into a high-level (architectural) solution or supporting model and progress to a final design and build solution with executable plan.

+ Participate in the development and monitoring of a Salesforce roadmap to ensure technical and work scope requirements, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field and 10 years work experience or equivalent experience

+ Experience in Salesforce Administration and Development

+ Experience with Salesforce architecture and objects (standard and custom)

+ Solid understanding of Salesforce platform technical requirements, system configuration, software license management, user authorizations, and user access/permissions

+ Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems, using various integration techniques and applications

+ Experience with Salesforce data governance, cleansing, and deduplication

+ Knowledge of business technology systems best practices, security guidelines, and industry standards

+ Strong technical skills, including hands-on system support, troubleshooting, and a general understanding of network technologies

+ Experience in Program/Project Management

+ Experience with project planning and execution, including defining key stakeholders, technical requirements, scope, deliverables, tasks, schedule, and budget

+ Organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-moving environment

+ Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams and stakeholders

+ Ability to design and implement business process improvements and development roadmaps

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and user experience awareness

+ Communication skills, both verbal and written and ability to develop strong internal customer relationships

+ Ability to actively listen to understand internal customer needs and wants, yet with acumen to push back on unreasonable requests

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Salesforce Certifications: Certified Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Salesforce Business Analyst, or Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant

+ Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

+ Experience with launching Salesforce with new user groups

+ Proficiency with techniques to maximize user adoption

+ Experience with data visualization platforms (e.g. Power BI and Tableau)

+ Proficiency with Service Cloud applications, including Salesforce

+ Experience with Salesforce Cloud applications for overseas data transfer relating to European Union

**Pay Information**

Full-Time Salary Range: $146670 - $249330

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
