MAS Final Assembly - Assembler II

**Job Description**

This position supports 1st shift operations by performing soldering and hand assembly on a variety of circuit card assemblies (CCAs) and mechanical chassis. This role requires consistent onsite collaboration and will be performed 100% at a BAE Systems facility. The assembler will work with electronic and mechanical components, perform inspections and rework, and support continuous improvement efforts in a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble electronic components, assemblies, subassemblies, kits, and modules using written instructions, wiring lists, diagrams, routing instructions, and process sheets

Perform soldering of through-hole and surfacemount components (training provided if needed)

Conduct mechanical assembly to proper torque specifications

Wire subassemblies using wiring lists, diagrams, and routing requirements

Operate assembly tooling, machines, and standard measuring tools

Perform inprocess inspections and verify product conformance to requirements

Perform rework as required, including soldering and conformal coating (when certified)

Work under a microscope to complete finepitch assembly tasks

Collaborate with support staff and test personnel to diagnose and repair returned fielded units (Aftermarket environment)

Follow work order instructions, policies, procedures, and quality standards

Crosstrain in multiple assembly positions and support continuous improvement initiatives

Perform other duties as assigned

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ High school diploma or GED

+ Work experience in a manufacturing environment

+ Basic computer skills and typing ability

+ Mechanical assembly ability and/or experience

+ Focus on quality

+ Strong communication skills

+ Ability to pass a VAST (visual acuity test)

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Associates degree or applicable manufacturing training classwork

+ Experience in electrical assembly or circuit card manufacturing

+ Experience wiring circuit cards

+ Mechanical assembly experience with delicate parts

+ JStandard / IPC610 soldering experience

+ Rework experience with conformal coating

+ Use of software for tracking WIP, quality, or inventory (Oracle, SAP, etc)

+ Lean Six Sigma training

**Pay Information**

Full-Time Salary Range: $38041 - $60865

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
