This global team offers the opportunity to work with the latest data center network infrastructure technologies and talented engineers solving some of the most complex problems in the industry. For this role, we are looking for a Network Engineer with solid experience in cable infrastructure and fiber connectivity solutions, including the design and build out of data center infrastructure. We are also seeking someone who can use their coding and automation experience to help improve our data center design, construction, and facility operations and processes. **Required Skills:**
Network Engineer, Foundation & Support Responsibilities:
1. Support all aspects of data center construction and network deployment including new greenfield sites, collocation build outs, and retrofits
2. Collaborate with network engineering, data center design, and data center connectivity teams to generate network infrastructure design packages and solutions for the deployment teams
3. Be a subject matter expert (SME) for the physical infrastructure and design and deployment of the building management system (BMS) and controls network and other general services networks in the data center
4. Partner with our software teams to ensure our Fiber Infrastructure Management tool accurately reflects network infrastructure design intent and captures any infrastructure changes
5. Perform logical network bootstrapping functions to ensure our internal tools reflect network hardware and circuits
6. Build and nurture business relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and vendors
7. Lead and drive strategic initiatives focused on enhancing efficiency, innovation, and standardization within our data center build processes to accelerate the delivery of network infrastructure
8. Perform site visits and work cross-functionally with construction, design architects, and contractors to validate cabling infrastructure and network builds according to Meta standards
9. Influence future iterations of data center and network designs to ensure seamless integration of new infrastructure and enable scalability
10. Maintain technical reference, process, and training documentation
11. Develop automation and tooling to drive consistency and efficiency in all aspects of network design, deployment, and operations
12. Strategically oversee a vendor field team, ensuring their engagement and successful delivery of data center construction milestones
13. 25% to 40% of travel required based on project demand
**Minimum Qualifications:**

14. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
15. 8-10+ years of work experience with designing and deploying large-scale data center network infrastructure
16. Demonstrated knowledge of structured cabling and fiber optic infrastructure including design and installation best practices, industry standards, application and limitations
17. Knowledge of the data center design, construction, and start up/commissioning processes
18. Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving large-scale data center projects
19. Track record of solving problems, setting strategic direction, and executing tactically
20. Working knowledge of internet networking technologies (TCP/IP, routing, switching) and optical transport technologies
21. Knowledge of enterprise and provider level network hardware platforms (IP + Optical)
22. Organizational, multitasking, prioritization and communication experience

25. Knowledge of data center facilities management using building management and automation systems
26. In-depth experience of inside/outside plant cable design and dark fiber builds

28. Data center design or relevant telecommunications certifications
29. 2+ years of programming experience in at least one language such as Python/C++/Go or other languages

$162,000/year to $227,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
