JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Scranton's Center for Business Development and Community Outreach is seeking Youth ENVIRONMENTAL Program Instructors.

These Youth Program Instructors are creative educators , who are enthusiastic and have a desire to teach children ages 6 – 16 to increase their interest and knowledge in the Environment. Instructors work with the Center’s staff to develop curriculum and monitor the program. Instructors are also responsible for supervising camp counselors.

Requirements:

+ This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher

+ Participation in Mandated Reporter Training for this camp season and successful completion of background checks is a requirement for the position.

+ Experienced educators only

+ Camp teaching experience preferred

+ Camps run weekly July 11th through August 5th, 2022, Training will take place prior to the first week of camp.

This job requires the following 3 publicly available clearances:

• PA State Police Criminal Background Check

• PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form

• FBI Criminal Background Check.
