**Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour**

Mon08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

**How This Role Works:**

+ **Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”):** You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

+ **Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:** In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor screening practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.

+ Monitor entrances and restricted areas, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access in a courteous and professional manner.

+ Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, public areas, and perimeter locations to observe conditions and report security-related concerns.

+ Assist guests, staff, and visitors with directions, entry procedures, and security-related questions while supporting orderly movement throughout the location.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
