**How you’ll make an impact in this role**

+ Continuously observe and track cardiac rhythms on telemetry monitors for designated patients, identifying normal baseline patterns as well as dysrhythmias and acute changes.

+ Promptly document irregular rhythms or pattern shifts and immediately escalate critical heart rate and rhythm changes to the primary nurse, charge nurse, or attending physician for further medical analysis.

+ Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot telemetry monitoring units and transmitters, ensuring proper functionality, battery replacement, and adequate inventory of monitoring supplies.

+ Maintain accurate, timely telemetry logs, strips, and documentation regarding patient rhythm trends, alarm occurrences, and reporting chains in accordance with facility standards.

**What minimum requirements you’ll need**

**Licensure / Certification / Registration:**

+ BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

**Education:**

+ High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
