**Summary:**

This role provides engineering support and leadership for the Deerfield Ag Services and Oilseeds Complex. The primary focus is to apply engineering expertise to lead and support projects that enhance personnel safety, total process safety, finished product quality, environmental compliance, and operational efficiency.

**Specific Job Duties**

+ Analyze and evaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify improvement opportunities; recommend and implement data-driven solutions that enhance performance, safety, and efficiency.

+ Support daily operations through active involvement in production, maintenance, and contractor supervision as required.

+ Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support to resolve process and maintenance-related challenges.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration of new processes, technologies, and equipment.

+ Engage with operations, maintenance, and contractor teams to sustain and improve facility reliability, equipment performance, and safety programs.

+ Lead and participate in technical training initiatives to develop the skills and knowledge of operational team members.

+ Manage capital projects up to $5 million and serve as an active stakeholder on project teams executing capital investments exceeding $5 million.

+ Demonstrate leadership in fostering a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset; actively support process safety initiatives, with knowledge of PSM programs considered an asset.

+ Partner with external plant teams (CAPEX, Technology, Maintenance, Safety, Environmental, Quality/Food Safety, Performance Excellence, and Performance Management) to drive and execute continuous improvement initiatives.

+ Lead contractor teams during project execution, ensuring strict adherence to occupational and process safety standards.

**Education Requirements**

+ **Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Engineering (Chemical, Agricultural, & Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred)**

**Experience Requirements**

+ **3 or more years of experience in a Process/Production Engineering role in continuous manufacturing environment (food/feed/chemicals mfg strongly preferred)**

**Required Skills.**

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross functional teams.

+ Working knowledge of engineering drawings and documentation, such as P&IDs and control narratives.

+ Ability to work effectively on a team as well as independently

+ High level of motivation and results-oriented way of working.

+ MS Office Suite

**Preferred Skills**

+ Experience working in manufacturing and/or construction industry

+ Experience with Capital Project Management

+ Engineering Software/tools (CAD, Statistical Analysis, Process Modeling)

**Environment**

+ 50% in the field, 50% desk work

+ Walk long distances

+ Stand and sit interchangeably for various periods

+ Climb stairs and ladders

+ Lift 50 lbs

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between:
